ZoneAlarm Security Upgrade

I use ZoneAlarm as my firewall. Every day I get the ZoneAlarm Service Agent popping up and telling me that an important security upgrade is available. When I click 'Update Now' nothing happens. Does anybody know why this would be? Is it because I am using the free version? (I am outside the trial period)

no reason where it should not download unless you have a virus/spyware infection, some block access to these sites

Thanks Browntoa. Do I unistall my current ZA before installing the new one or can I install 'over the top' of the previous one?

Erm.... It may not be prudent to upgrade it at all, depending on the version you are currently running. If you are running 5.5.094.000, stick with that for the time being.

If, by the time you get this message you've already installed the new version and are having problems, you can get the old version from here; http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=zalarm

i sometimes have the same problem, change the server you are trying to download from..... ie the top 2 uk ones, always seem to have problmes lately, changed to number 3 and no problems since

You can download all the previous versions of Zonealarm straight from the Zonelabs site HERE .

I've also held back from downloading the latest version because of all the troubles I've read about it. I'm waiting for them to sort these out before upgrading to version 6.
