Abbey MBNA cards

in Credit cards
I've had a few calls about these over the past few days.
It seems cards due for renewal that were run on behalf of Abbey by MBNA have been reissued by MBNA without Abbey branding. I think it's mainly the sky blue ones at the moment. I assume statements will soon reflect this as well? At least this will be less confusing for customers who still think Abbey control their cards - yes, we still gets lots of calls which we have to redirect to MBNA nearly a year on from the MBNA-Abbey split.
Anyone received these new cards yet?

I use to have an Abbey/MBNA Visa and Mastercard with Abbey. Then I took an Abbey/Santander card and a few weeks later MBNA contacted me because they were changing the cards. My Abbey/MBNA visa card was replaced with an MBNA Rewards card, and I cancelled the mastercard as I didn't need two cards the same.
I don't know if you have the MBNA rewards card, basically you earn points every time you spend on the card, when you get enough points you can have some reductions in some shops or you can ask to have the money added to your account (I think).
It's not that good for me as I do not spend a lot on credit cards.
I have to log in to my account online through the MBNA website, though I still can get to my account through the link I was using when MBNA was running the cards for Abbey.
The statements shows the MBNA logo, no trace of Abbey.0 -
There is a new push from Abbey to move customers over from the old MBNA run Abbey cards.
0% for 13 months on balance transfers, and 0% on purchases for 3 months.0 -

I believe it is Organic, so on this occasion (unlike previous marketing attempts by Abbey) this card DOES have a 3% fee as far as I'm aware.
However I am not sure if this is marketed at EVERY Abbey MBNA customer. I know some have. And some have taken advantage of it.0 -
Just to add to the confusion, I now understand there is NO fee for customers offered this deal by Abbey. I think that is probably correct, as all previous cards (a previous 13 months one, preceded by a 9 months and a 6 months first of all) never charged a fee. Best check terms and conditions of the letter sent by Abbey. It sounds like the Priority card is back for a small group.0
