Newcastle building society - well done.

Options
Hi there all.
Just wanted to post a good story for a change instead of saying how our banks are rubbish.

I had an ING Direct ISA with around £6800 in it. The interest rate had dropped to a mear 4.5%

I had looked to transfer my ISA to a new provider and I did so at the begining of April -I transferred to ICESAVE. Unfortunatley ING Direct and ICESAVE lost my money with the transfer and it was all a big mess.................Any how kept my eyes open for ISA account paying 6% or over and Newcastle building society were in the top 10. I had a further look and it seemd good.

I opened my account on the 5th June online. My money has been transferred and is pending in my New Necastle account - taking just three weeks.

I want to say the service has been very good, i have left them a few messages regarding transfer and they have contacted me at a specific time on the telephone.
You can operate your account - online, post & in the building society.

I just wanted to say - if people were considering an ISA for at least this year, they have been really professional and helpful and they seem to actually want to help.

The irony in this is that it is Newcastle Building Society who provide the services for Icesave.

Well at least it appears you don't have to worry about ISAs with Newcastle but in the interests of fairness you have to look at how they are also disgracefully opening and closing new saving products left right and centre. I believe they are up to newcastlenet issue billion!

It's more than that. Newcastle actually carry out all the UK administration on behalf of Icesave.
