Ok mainly to put my gfs mind at ease can you just make sure that I have got this right.

I got a marriott reward credit card for the free 10,000 reward points and for 6 months free intrest on purchases so I couold do my motorbike test before the law change in October.

Rang the motorbike school and they dont take cards

So the only thing I have though of is that I could witdraw the cash on my natwest credit card and then when it shows on my statment I can then do a balance transfer to my new card which offers 0% on BT for 9 months.

So just asking to make sure I have got this right. My gf is not too keen because she worries about things like this going wrong and us getting in trouble with money. (saving for the wedding) Bu I am 100% sure that I have got this right and there wont be any problems with this plan.

So am I right or have I missed something?

You would have to pay 2 lots of fees, one for the cash withdrawal and one for the BT fee unless they do the transfer for nothing. Plus you would be paying interest on the cash amount from Natwest until that card was cleared in FULL!!

"Money Transfers" are fee-free on NatWest cards, and will be limited to your "advance limit" (usually 50%-75% of your credit limit), but will incur interest from day one (at your BT's/purchases rate).

With good timing, you could action the onward BT from your other 0% for 9 months card so it lands at NatWest the same day as the Money Transfer is completed.

Due to the allocation of payments on your NatWest card, only do this from a zero balance NatWest card...or make the onward BT large enough to cover the whole balance.

There may be a fee payable for the onward BT.

The above is based on my understanding of the NatWest summary box. Please consult your own T&C's before acting on the above.
