NPower paid and closed - I want this in writing! Help.

Options
I paid off a bill I had from my last address from N Power, and I would like them to send me a letter of some sort, confirming that I did pay the balance off. I'm a bit paranoid that in a few months, they'll send me a red letter demanding money. It happened with DH's old bank account, he paid off his OD, but the computer messed up and they called him demanding money. So now I like to get things in writing if I can.

When I paid the balance off earlier this month, I asked for this letter and the lady on the phone said it would be with me in 7-10 working days. I called again today and she said I had to put this in writing. I don't mind, but is she telling me a porky? I get a different answer every time I call.

If you paid it over the phone, then you'll have an entry in your card account for the exact amount paid to npower.

Keep the statement as your receipt, along with the bill.

If they write a letter to every customer after a payment is made our bills will have to go up again!
