Hi all please be gentle with me I'm a numpty:A

I'm with NPower for electric wonder if someone can make sence of this
been paying on
Tarrif - Standard Meter/ Regular Payment Plan (does this count as a prepayment deal ? )

I've been paying £8 per week(most weeks) and according to my latest bill i am £36.71 in credit

They have uped my payments to £12 per week based on this calculation

How we worked out your new payment

..........Estimated electricity units 1096 at 14.000p = £153.44
..........Estimated electricity units 2085 at 13.050p = £272.09
...................................Vat at 5.00% on £425.53 = £21.27
Total Estimated charge over the next 18 months = £446.80
.......................Account balance brought forward = £36.71 credit
........................Less payment due on 20/06/2008 = £6.00 credit
.............................................................Total = £404.09 debt
....................................................Divide by 35 = £11.54 debt
.......................New payment ammount (rounded) =£12.00

I cannot make sence or understand where or what the "divide by 35" comes into it:confused: , i'm in credit and they want to up my payments by 50%:confused:

i do get confused doing the switch sites i don't know which tarriff i can compare this to

If anyone can help i'd be very gratefull:A :beer: :j
