Hi Everyone!
Thanks Angelnikki for putting me on the list.
Just been to Mr T and spent 12.48 of our new budget-after a £5 Sainsburys MOC (which Tesco are happy to take).
Just to let you all know they are selling Tesco 2 x 2 litres of filtered whole/semi skimmed milk for £2.
I thought it was a good deal.
It was very quiet. Has everyone gone to Asda?

Hi all and thanks to angelnikki for including me in July and for the recipe links which are really helpful. I am going to try to do more baking this month. My husband (we are currently separated) has just gone off with DS to get some bits from farm foods (just offers) and is getting some for me too so that will come out of July's budget as I won't be using them until next week. I also have a Tesco delivery booked for Wed 2nd and have included things like a months worth of cat food, loo rolls, kitchen rolls, beer, cleaning stuff, pasta, rice etc. It takes some of the work out of shopping and hopefully if I have a small weekly budget left it will be easier to manage. We will see! I will be amending it later depending on what DH comes back with! I was stewing fruit at 8.30 this morning as DS got me up at 6.30
I had some rubarb and plums looking past their best but now we can have lovely stewed fruit with meringues (2 tubs of mini ones in the coop for £2 which works out at less than 7p each).

Hi
I'd love to join the July Grocery Challenge.
I have no idea what I spend each month (I know that sounds terrible) so could ask what everyone feels would be a reasonable amount for 5 people -3 of them teenagers with very healthy appetites?
Thank you0 -
Thanks for the new thread Pink Winged
Angellnikki well done for stepping in, I did the list for a while, started it as an idea to keep peoples totals to look back on when signature sizes were reduced, people can still then see how far they have come. I know what effort it involves and ran out of time due to studying so well done for taking it on in MrsMc's absence.
School hols start this month and I usually do a shop just before stocking up on basics and as we've used June as a major use up month I need to remember that when planning next month.
Ok decided £300 for all meals, cleaning stuff and toiletries for 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 big dogs, 1 lizard and 1 hedgehog! One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
OOh lovely new thread. Doing well sor far! (yes I know it's only started but I struggle!) Have even been to home bargains today and didn't spend a penny. Nearly bought 2 cushions in matalan but had a bit of a to do at the till as they were half price and was told they shouldn't have those stickers on. Out of principle I didn't buy them as they wouldn't back down (really want them so will go to a different one in the week!!!! full priced they weren't too bad but...:D there was a bit of attitude involved- which was not required, I was very polite ) Good luck to everyone. Thanks ANGELNIKKI.LBM 17th April 2007:j

How about £300, as it's your first month, just keep all your receipts and at the end add them all up, that way you know how much you spend xx:j Bankrupt 6th October 2009 :j:beer: To a Debt-free Future :beer:0 -
