I had this problem too, not knowing what to wear..
I didnt want to turn up wearing dead nice, new clothes cuz clearly Id look like I had money lol. But didnt want to look like a tramp either.. lol
I eventually went in jeans, simple top and my black jacket. There was 3 of us all sat waiting there, and think I was prob the best dressed lol.\\ Debt Free April 2008 //\\ Single Mummy to 1 boy - 4 years & 5 months old //\\ Last weeks spend: £139.39 - 2 NSDs //0 -
Hmm... Just realised the last time I wore that particular combination (nb jacket, trousers as per Poppy's recommendation, not Max's signature outfit) was the day of the funeral and car-crash! Not normally superstitious but might have to rethink this one!
Baybee, I know what you mean. Have been looking at my £18 faux-designer watch and worrying that someone might think it's real!0 -
Be clean and tidy - but you could look at the court thing as the death of the bad bit of your life, the death of your debt?0

I went in 'office dress' - what I would wear to work.
I would def. leave the Radley handbags/Jimmy Choos at home

What did you expect, wearing those pearls? Pearl necklaces are for giving, not wearing yourself - and I'm not explaining the meaning of that line to anyone who doesn't already know the meaning of it.maxmycardagain wrote: »i was only in the court 10 minutes, they seemed to want me gone...

Oh you bad girl, WDIAG!!!!! MammaCas, I can only dream of Jimmy Choos. Touched a pair once - they were on the feet of my oldest friend, whhose wedding it was! Is last season's M+S placcy fake-patent shoulder bag modest enough? And nice point, Poppy. It is a kind of funeral, I suppose.0

I know I'm asking for this - can already imagine some of the suggestions Max and Dave will come up with - but what should I wear to court on Monday? A suit? Smart-casual? School-run jeans? Diamonds and furs? (As if.) A wink and a grin?
Lily
Dont know what you are implying about Max And I!!...probably true though!
But as already said..something smart but comfy. i wore my buisness suit but felt so over dressed as one guy was in tracky pants and vest top..If i was the judge i would have refused him BR just on his dress!
Hope all goes well Lily and will be looking out for you replies and updates next week.
I'm sure it will all go well too whatever you wear
