When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today i will:

Lots of good intentions here today!
Today is the first day of 2 weeks annual leave so would be in a fab mood if it wasn't for the hangoverand it's oh's bday drinks and barbecue today... Tracey, your bbq isn't in South London is it?! :rotfl:
Today I will- shop around for a cheapy barbecue - anyone seen any?
- make a list for shopping and stick to it
- pat myself on the back for winning that beer baby last week so i shouldn't need to buy beers!
- update my sheet for those lethal sauv blancs last night (over budget but what do I expect in rounds with 4 fellas... learned my lesson)
- lurk on the house prices board - it's my new free entertainment, there are some real characters over there but it's every man for himself!
- not spend too much in the post-barbie trip to the pub and not get involved in rounds with fellas.

Hi guys sorry i've not been round properly for a few days, things have been fairly hectic. I had a job interview yesterday and then had my big counselling interview yesterday as well, wont know for a while if i get on that course. Its fairly unlikely as there is a lot of competition and unfortunately being only 25 tends to go against me, but you never know!
Sophiesmum, it was awful to hear about your friend from the £4000 challenge, i hope she is ok and coping as best she can. My friend lost her husband of thirty odd years last year, we can't begin to imagine what it must be like for these people.:(
Aww, did i miss Sans post. Glad she is back, was thinking about her the other day and that it was strange without her (and her boots posts!):j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j
