Are you a cherry picker?

Nope don't mean of the fruit variety. But do you cherry pick the best deals from each supermarket.
I do, last night I did a double supermarket run. To Asda first of all as there are couple of items I only ever get there. And then on Tescos to get the Bogofs and use some club card vouchers.
And today did a local run to somerfield to get some of there offers and use up a £1 off £10 spend voucher.
And according to my VPM with the use of BOGOF's, Special deals, Club card vouchers and and using coupons when not buying the products has saved me over £30. And I have cupboards and freezer full so lots of yummy meals for the next few weeks.

I think I've been reading too many of Elfmay's posts as I had something completely different on my mind when I saw this thread

I shop at 4 or 5 supermarkets. I get my main food shop from Iceland for the 100's of BOGOF's they have but they are not very hot on fresh fruit and veg, loo rolls or cleaning items. So I go out again afterwards, or sometimes the next day, to buy those things from Tesco's and to look at the offers and reduced stuff. I also look in Somerfield for their offers and reduced stuff. I get my loo rolls from Pound World and all the stuff which has to be weighed from the Weigh and Save.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

As far as I am aware yes.
But I got the term cherry picker in terms of picking the best deals from each supermarket from a US site.

Not really, I shop in sainsburys and farm shops. I like to shop in Waitrose, but it's a little out of the way and not always a good trip - I spend too much!!!
Not that keen on Tesco's and dislike Asda. Tried Lidl or Aldi, and didn't think too much of the food, although good for dry boxed items. I'm not a keen shopper, so I like to get it all out the way.
Also a big fan of home delivery0 -
No I don't. Every time I enter a supermarket I suddenly grow horns. This isn't helped by the fact that the local radio station tracks my every move and announces when I'm heading toward Tesco and puts and appeal out for every indecisive, time wasting day tripper to head to my local store to do nothing but GET IN MY WAY. Geriatric chit chatters, dozy husbands left at the end of isles to 'guard' the trolly, love struck teenages snogging and slurping near foodstuffs and folks who shop while describing every item they pick up to someone one their mobile phone who shops vicariously through them are just a few of my many many pet hates!
Hence, I like to get in early on a Tuesday morning when the store is almost empty fill my trolly with a weeks worth of scran and get out ASAP.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -
I just shop at Tesco, the local market and a couple of specialist shops, butcher , fishmonger and greengrocer. There is an Asda nearby but I don't like it so I only go in if I am desperate for something.0

LOL i thaught it was a thread about cherry picking just like the threads we have had about blackberries :rotfl:
I do my main shop at tescos only if i have lots of coupons otherwise its not realy worthwhile for me after ive paid my busfare. If ive only a few coupons its my local asda as they only take 10%.I pick up bits and pieces from our cheapy freezer centre(herons) and pop into iceland to see whats on offer there too.0
