We have moved from talk talk due to very slow unreliable internet.
now with bt- its taken them 2 months to transfer our number. we have had 3 tempary numbers- just when we thought it was all sorted we we now cannot recieve calls from talk talk customers( ie my mum!). seems to work from bt phones. Bt investigating but wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. calls go through to an answer machine that i cannot access and bt say doesnt exist!
how are these companies allowed to create so much hassle. cant take it to ombudsman for 3 months but will be doing so if its not resolved.

I recently switched from BT to Talk Talk. For about 1 hour after the 'switch' any incoming calls were going to the old BT voice mail (which I could not access); that appears to be normal. If you still have the same problem, 2 months later that is definitely abnormal.
You also need to exhaust the company's complaints procedure before you can complain to the ombudsman (as well as wait 3 months). I think yo0ur complaint will be aginst BT (not Talk Talk).
When I switched to Talk Talk my internet was unreliable so they slowed it from 2MB down to 0.125MB!!! Anyway, I subsequntely receive a call to say there had been an internet problem the day I took up service and they put my internet back to 2MB - I was actually quite impressed they were so proactive!!!! There have been no problems since - much more reliable than my old Eclipse Internet connection.0 -

Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?0 -

10 seconds thought on this: talk talk used to route calls to your number to your phone, which was on their network. Now, the number is not on their network, but they have lost the plot, so they have diverted it to voicemail on their network, because they are muppets and don't know they should route calls to your number over to BT.
That does sound like something the dreadfully awful TalkTalk would do.
Glad I got shot of those muppets a couple or so years back. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
I had a problem after I switched from TT to BT and it was because my landline numbe was not registered with it - the BTTalk number was (the weird 0506 one) but not my actual landline number.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0
