Babies vitamins

I have been advised to buy a multi vitamin syrup for my 6 month old (medically advised)
Ive had a look online but cannot find one that I could go into a chemist to buy as they all seam to be for much older childeen

Does anyone please know of one suitable for a 6 month old?

    If its medically advised ask for some on prescription.

    There not allowed to (or wont) give vitamins on prescription where I live

  • I am sure I have seen vitamins for infants on the shelves at Asda just to pick up and take to the till but have to admit I havent looked at what age they are suitable for. They definately said infant on the box

    They are not allowed to give them.....!!!

    As long as baby is taking all his/her milk then this should contain everything you need.

    If it wasn't your gp i would suggest you see your gp, and if it was your gp then ask to see another gp
    Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

    Its milk thats the issue
    I wont bore you with all the details but my boy is allergic to milk and the stuff he can have he hates
    Not to worry ive found some on boots online

    I agree that a baby should be getting all its vitamins from milk but if you need them Im sure you can get them from the pharmacts at boots

    Hi,

    My son takes vitamins and iron because he was born before 34 weeks (Was born at 33+6). The multivitamin is called Abidec and we get it on prescription from our gp.

    I was given a thing called Dali Vit when I was discharged from Hospital with Twins - I was only given it for one Twin but used it on them both.

    From my recollection they were having it from 2 days old so I am sure it wouldn't harm a 6 month old but your best bet is seeing your GP.

    If you have been medically advised then they have to give it to you on prescription! I was medically advised to use a special baby milk for my daughter, my doctor refused but I got there in the end. Saved no end of money as normal baby milk is around £6 a tin and this stuff was over £10 a tin!
