trailer tent do we fix it or not before ebaying it?

our trailer tent has a slight hole in it which needs fixing (probably will cost around £150 - £200). it was bought for around £3K as it is a luxurious Vendome tent with built in kitchen and sink with cupboards etc. to cut a long story short an ex ripped it slightly when she was angry. now we want to sell it.
as we are not sure how easy it is to sell and the market for it my question is can you advertise on ebay the tent , wait till you get the buyer and then get if fixed and deliver the tent when this has been fixed. we would normally do it the other way round but a bit skint at mo!

any tips appreciated.

have a look at ebay completed items and see what tents like yours have fetched in the past,
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

I agree with bleugh. Personally I would probably repair I think.

    But factors to consider:-

Cost of repair v possible highest price in past.
Have you missed the season for these tents; therefore lower prices.
If you decide not to repair take a close photo of rip, where it is on tent and use something like a ruler to give rip some scale in close up.
I really think you will struggle to get a good prrice in October versus say April/May.

...also probably stating the obvious here but ebay buyers are as seasonal as anywhere else so it might be worthwhile to hold off until the start of next season and get a better price unless you really want it out of the way.

Also, personally i'd repair it - its a bit like selling car without mot - do-able, but a lot of people won't want to bother thus it will be reflected in a much poorer price.
