In other ways of trying to save money I've decided that when I cook instead of doing all fresh veg I'm going to try 1 fresh and 1 frozen.

A person put and ad in our local paper asking their partner to marry them Aaaawwww so sweet hope they put the answer in next weeks paper.

DD2 is in a vile temper so she will be going to bed very shortly if she's not careful!

What, like fresh cabbage and frozen peas?

Once we get to the summer it will be fresh veg all the time, hopefully with enough left over for freezing.

Do you grow your own vegetables?

I do have a veg patch and it is on my bucket list to get it sorted. I've managed to cover the 3 beds with the weed suppressant fabric, I need to sort the paths as they are a mess. What I really need to is GROW something! I seem to be running out of Ooomph. Need to sort the pen out for the chucks and we're planning on utilising the old trampolene into some kind of pen. That's probably when I find my ooomph.

Sat in bed with the lappy, washing machine whirring in the background, really hoping to be able to peg it out on the line today. In the interests of my garden I will venture out there and see if I can make a start.

I'll keep you company in the garden. Quite a bit of post winter stuff to clear up, yes, I know winter's not over yet! But the weeds have made a start and if the ground is wet they might pull out a little easier.

My cat will happily dead-head any flowers you are lucky enough to have in bloom. The chooks will frighten him though!

I am looking forward to my veg patch this year. I need to get a few things but usually my beans go crazy. My blueberry bushes are in their 3rd year this year so I hope for a goodly amount.

Lucille how is your nephew x
