Had a really lovely time with my niece and nephew. DS1 decided to go farming (he said that when he got out the car he regretted his decision). I bought one of those disposable BBQs and we all piled off to the beach. The weather was fab and not much of a sea breeze either. Nephew took over the running of the BBQ and it all went rather well. Sea was still ruddy cold. Got ice creams on the way to the station (I didn't have one, how good was I?) and left them to catch the train.

DS1 has hurt his arm wrestling a sheep, he'll live. I have had to borrow a friends shower as the oil hasn't come and the boys are having their hair cut tomorrow. Didn't think the hairdresser would appreciate DS1s sheepy smell.

Still got plants to go out, will do that tomorrow and make something nice for tea.

There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.

Horse is still lame. Been hosing his leg down to try and get the heat out. Have also bandaged it up with some comfrey (good for swelling). Any suggestions.

Can anybody remind me how to post piccis (where's Shaun when I need him?).

Another glorious day looms. Plans are

    Finish planting
Do the books as the VAT return looms
    boys haircut
Horse, cool leg and suncream his nose.
Pick up DD1 (she's been at a friends camping)
    shove the hoover round
make a fab tea (not quite sure what yet)
Check the oil is coming today
    wash hair if oil arrives

Paid £70.45 off the debt. Definitely not going to make the 9k target by June the 10th. Main focus at the moment is to make sure we have enough money to pay for the oil without having to put it on cc. I think it will be about £550 have £100 put by already.

Had to get plumbers out to cajole boiler into working. Now have hot water, yippee! Boys have been shorn and look so much better. DS1 is frantically doing jobs to earn some cash. He is going to the Young Farmers rally and needs some spends. So far he has cleaned the bathrooms, strimmed and helped me get all the plants out. He baulked at hoovering the car so DS2 stepped up to the mark. Sadly hoover decided to conk out halfway through. I have got new filters to go on, a job for OH when he gets in.

Managed to get some bookwork done, still got some to do. Horse seemed happier this morning so I have put him in the other paddock until Sunday night. He is easier to catch in the paddock he has just been in, so quicker for me to do him in the morning when I'm at work. Having cornish pasties new spuds and sala for tea. Haven't got round to working out the points. Did cave in and had an ice cream today.
