I'd like to make my girlfriend to one or both of the above for a long weekend in July. Can anyone recommend places to stay, things to do etc...
Budget is flexible, but looking for something a bit different.
Thanks in advance.

It's about a 3 hour drive from Loch Fyne to Fort William, both are lovely places, it's a nice drive to Fort William beautiful scenary. Last time we were in the Fort William area we stayed in the Glenspean Lodge which is in Roy Bridge about 10 miles past Fort William, nice hotel with great food.

Engadine gives the correct link to the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar...
I've stayed at Creggans Inn near the Oyster Bar which is lovely - wake up to the sounds of the loch. Very romantic and we enjoyed it but mixed reviews on tripadvisor suggest it's not always so good.
Also recommended is the George Hotel in Inverary - great food and good rooms.
I wouldn't recommend Fort William(and neither would some US relatives who went up there last week!) but round about Fort William there are some nice places. the Ardgour Inn (over the Corran ferry) is just south of Fort William and is good and reasonable. North of Fort William then Spean Bridge and Roy Bridge are stunning places. Going out west from Fort William I've always wanted to stay at Glenfinnan House but never managed it yet. there is also a romantic adults only hotel just south of fort william but can't remember what it's called - sorry. It's got themed rooms and some have double baths in front of the windows (no one can see in!) Maybe someone else will remember.
Enjoy!0
