I currently use 18866 to phone Mexico and South Africa, I know there are cheaper companies - the simply dial providers. Which bill do they appear on? BT or Talk Talk.
I was thinking of diverting them them BT, cos then you don't have Talk Talk saying you are breaking their t&c and with having the calls going thro BT it would cover you for BT Privacy, so you don't get charged for caller display.

Any calls you make using Call18866 are billed by Call18866 and if you make any calls via a dial-through provider then the calls will be billed by BT if you don't use a CPS carrier but I suspect from your post that you use TalkTalk as your CPS carrier so calls via a dial-through provider would then be billed by TalkTalk.
Providing you don't pay your line rental to TalkTalk then you are not breaking TalkTalk's t&c by using a dial-through call provider but from what I'm aware, calls to 0844/0845/0870/0871 (especially 0844) can be cheaper via BT at certain times, and like you said, you would then continue to get BT Privacy because you have fulfilled their criteria for free caller display (ie make some calls via BT).
Update:
Using Martin's International Call Checker here then for Mexico it is best to ring via Dialwise at 1ppm via an 0844 call. For calls to South Africa then use TeleStunt, Dialwise or DialAround at a cost of 2ppm via an 0844 call.
As these two numbers are via 0844 calls then as far as I'm aware BT are generally the cheapest for these calls.0 -
I'd make those calls with a 1280 prefix - to send them out on BT and be sure the quoted price per minute is what I'd be charged (some of the CPS providers charge more than BT for 084/7 calls - OneTel certainly do but I'm not sure about TalktTalk).Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").0 -

As for 0844, it's hard to know because they don't provide a comprehensive tariff sheet like OneTel do but due to the revenue-sharing of 0844 the chances are that BT are cheaper than TalkTalk.0 -
Another reason to go thro BT would be that you would only be paying for your calls every 3 months, as I pay whole of bill by direct debit, rather than monthly with Talk Talk or 18866.0

You may not be aware you dont have to make a chargeable call to meet BT T&C for BT Privacy. You could make an 0800 Freephone Call as long as you send it via Bt.PF.0
