How do I find out when property added to Rightmove?

I'm sure I've seen it on here, but seem to have a higher than normal dippy factor today :o

I've seen a house I really like, in a place near to where OH works instead of miles away like we are now, with a garden for DS instead of nasty concrete yard...

Also, I've reported landlord of next door property because damp is coming through to our property. Will that make a big difference to how easy it is to sell our property? (I think I know the answer to that one!)

Our house isn't really fit to sell, everything needs doing - is the 'do it up and make a fortune' still distorting the market? We do have four double bedrooms, so worth a punt to any BTL'ers still in the market.

    Where abouts is your property.

There are still people around that will buy wrecks but they are offering ridiculous prices in the main but it depends where you are.

There is a little utility called property bee that you download and install using Firefox. Once you start checking rightmove it logs the first recorded appearance of a property. As time goes by and you keep checking back it shows you an updated history including all the dates and any subsequent price changes, under offers etc etc.

I'm always impressed at the speed at the response you can get on here and how helpful people are.

I'm in Leeds, not a brilliant area but not so bad that it's a no-go area. I can see a reasonable primary school from my front door. It's on a main bus route and there are reasonable shops nearby, I can walk to a local butchers easily and the White Rose Centre is ten mins by car (okay, too much info if you don't know Leeds, but there are worse places).

Thank you - I'll wait til OH gets home to download something on his pc (after a few hiccups I make that a policy :o)

Would it show if, say, the property had been on for ages if today was the first time I had actually looked? Property is empty.

    Thank you so much, m00m00.

Rightmove linky (if I've got it right)

M00m00 - we live in Leeds 12, OH commutes to LS20. This to me makes it worth considering a moment of madness in moving now.

    Thank you for help.

If you don't want to install ProprtyBee, try

    https://www.propertysnake.co.uk

Put in postcode and it will tell you, when the prop was listed, how many days on the market and if its been reduced. Its not updated everyday, but will tell you when the last update sweep was.

I don't have that property in my dataset, (guisely is a bit out of my range, I mainly do the fairly central areas). However, I do know 2 people have been tracking that area, and their datasets go back to the beginning of Jan too, so when the distributed property bee comes back on line next week, the info should be there

Thank you all for the help! It's really appreciated.

I had not planned on moving til 2010 - we have a really good fixed rate til then and OH has only been working at this job since Jan after being made redundant when his employers went bankrupt. On the other hand, the price of petrol and the fact that it is actually within our potential price range and has a grass bit for 18 month old DS and we might as well get as much as we can from our current place before prices completely tank had made me consider the madness of moving now.

I'm getting OH to have a look on his way back from work to see what it REALLY is like, I suspect that the limited photos may mean that the rest of the house is worse! But when I saw the picture I went into dippy mode :o How can you fall in love with a rightmove pic?
