I must be really stupid, but I can't see how to sell the rights online. I've followed the link from Andrew-b but it comes up as error. Help please.0

Surely if you planned to sell the unpaid shares it is a bit late and I suppose the price will drop and drop.
If you planned to watch the price right up to the deadline then remember what that deadline might be - the signed letter & cheque in their hands by 18th July, if I am right.
BUT! People who hold share certificates may have to have that letter & cheque in to them by 11th July. Therefore these people may have fewer days to dither. (Moneybox, BBC, R4, Sat 28th June)0 -
Well in the end, I decided to do nothing, Not sure what that means to me but I can't be doing with the stress of making a descision on something I do not understand. I wish I'd never had any shares i the first place....:rolleyes:Keep on trucking!0

How did you only end up only getting 6.89p if they were trading at 14p the time you sold them? What sort of volume were you trading? Are they certificate?
I'm not sure what the ex rights date is as I don't personally have HBOS shares but if I had a sizeable amount my choice would be to do whats known as tail swallowing. Sell enough of the rights to generate enough cash to buy the rest. It effectively isn't costing you and you will have more shares in the long run. However if you don't have many its not really worth doing. This is just my opinion of course....'Throw off the bowlines.

Has anyone actually received a cheque yet for selling their HBOS share rights yet?
Still waiting for mine
Received a cheque for £10.23 this morning (nearly 2 weeks after sending form back), apparently average trading price was .069125p each :rolleyes:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I had the option to buy another 185 shares but decided to claim my nil paid rights and told them on the 27th June to sell them all on my behalf.
Recieved a cheque today for the sale of '74 nil paid rights'... Does this mean they weren't able to sell all 185? Confused!0 -
The HBOS big con continues.........0
