Is it best to compare kwh/£ on comparision sites?& any SE customers stickin/switching
I put in the Kwh details of our currently electricity and gas supplier (southern electricity) but is this the best way to compare things or should it be £.
Also, BG came out as best BUT there reviews arent great-can anyone enlighten me on their experiences, I know there are a few issues with the electricity side of things. Also, SE current SE customers are you planning on sticking/switching??
TIA

You really must put in annual kWh usage to get accurate comparisons. Entering £££s is useless.
BG accounting has been abysmal for the last couple of years while they have been migrating accounts to their new computer system. That even applied to long term existing customers like myself, but it seems to be getting better and my accounts have been been fine for the last few months - except I keep getting emails thanking me for sending in meter readings - which I haven't sent.0 -
You'll usually get the most accurate results by inputting yearly kWh usage.
My experience of BG customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Having said that, if the matter gets raised to their specialist team in HQ where you end up with an assigned CS rep to answer your specific issue (together with their direct geographic telephone number) they are quite good. But unfortunately you have to go through the usual crap before they will take up the matter.
I'm currently with Ebico who use SSE for all their CS support & billing. I must say they seem a pleasant change in comparison; not faultless but very good. Probably one of their biggest problems is the time spent waiting for them to answer the phone, but with a freefone number (at least with Ebico) I'm not paying whilst they tell me how important my call is to them"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
