Another USB problem
I've looked at the other threads re usb's and it doesn't seem to be like my problem. Here's mine I've connected a 4 port usb hub but nothing I plug into it works. The port in the computer works ok but not the hub. I read somewhere that I might need an Ac adaptor to go with it. Is this the case. Any advice please

Installing xp on another harddrive?
I have xp home on my pc....its built in. Im trying to install xp professional on another harddrive. I have an xp disc however its only a copy as its for a friends pc. I put her harddrive in my pc and formatted it. When trying to run the disc it wont install as my own xp sp2 is more up to date than the disk. Can anyone help?

DVD/CD writer, how fast?
I've recently fitted a LG4163 DVD writer and have tested it using Nero toolkit. It seems very slow as i can only get 1.6x for a DVD and about 14x speed for a CD(blank). Is this normal as all my settings are for maximum speed?
