I have got my 0% student current account overdraft into my savings and earning some extra £££!! I was looking at Virgin's card: Does this mean that I…

check my figures?
hi there, I would be grateful if anyone could please check my figures :) According to the stoozing calculator I could make £110.91 if I put £2400 from from a Virgin CC (15months @ 0%) into a mini ISA at 6.5%. I tried to work out the figures myself but I obviously must be doing something wrong because I keep getting a…

Stoozing Amazon card and Barclaycard
Has anyone else had trouble collecting their incentives from these two? I signed up for both before Christmas and spent a small amount on them straight away. I am currently on my second promise from Amazon saying they are trying to resolve the issue of why I haven't received my £15 voucher - Barclays were slightly better,…

Sound about right?
Ok, it's crunch time. Egg Money card, (which I don't need right now), check. Virgin Credit Card, (2.98% on BTs/SBTs, 15 months interest free on the transferred balances, assuming I don't miss a payment with a £5k credit limit), check. Barclays 6.5% ISA 07/08 setup, almost check. Kaupthing Edge 6.5% Saving account setup,…

Help! dont get the egg money card
Hi thinking of do the stoozing thing, and got a 0% for 14 months but I dont understand why you need the egg card. What I understand is if you transfer the money on to egg and then into your bank you will be charged the handling fee from the 0% so why not transfer it to your account without using the egg card. I think Im…

Could you use credit card cheques to make additional payments off your mortgage on top of the regular direct debit mortgage payment?

While I'm sure this is a stupid question, I may as well ask.....
I admit to having the stoozing bug. Using slow stoozing, and looking at ways of maximising that. As council tax is about to hit again, and as mine is over £2000 for the year, I'm thinking of putting that onto a credit card. I think there are advantages of keeping utility bills on direct debit, but it did get me thinking…

Abbey Priority Card
Following my earlier post I rang Abbey up and applied for their card via the CS dept. They offered my a priority card which they say is 0% for 13 months with no fee. They offered this on the basis that I must BT more than £1000. The 2.5% fee only applies to their organic card! I mention this as it isn't in any of the card…

I have just obtained an Alliance & Leicester MoneyBack Rewards Credit Card. This has 0% on purchases for 3 months and 0% on balance transfers for 12 months. It also offers reward points on purchases (1 point per £1 spend), but it has an initial reward of 2000 points on first use (within 90 days). The allocation of payments…

2 quick questions
1) Do CC companies ban stoozing? I mean do some put it in the T&Cs that such activity is not permitted or is stoozing still 100% widely accepted. I wouldnt want to get caught and incur fees. 2) You guys talk about BT fees... but surely there are ways of extacting credit from CC at no cost! Im sure betfair dont permit money…

Lloyds TSB Amex Duo - Airmiles for 0% BT
Just had a letter in this morning "reminding" me about the "full range of benefits" in using the card. They're also offering me a 0% BT for six months, usual 3% fee. And 150 Airmiles for every £ 1000 transferred. Rate available till 3rd April. Have significantly reduced my use of the Amex Duo card since I got the HSBC 0%…

MBNA cash transfering stopped?
my wife got sent an invitation from Virgin in the post this week - I've looked through the details but nowhere does it saying anything about BT cash to a bank account. I got the same card last month and it was all over the information they sent me. I then checked the MBNA West Ham united card through the link on whufc and…
