Balance transfer fee and other things!
Can somebody confirm for me whether or not a balance transfer fee is added to the balance of the card and treated in the same way (i.e. interest free for the same term as the transfer). Am hoping to use a Barclaycard platinum transfer to offset against my mortgage. Also I was looking at my monthly payments the other day…

Stooze without using egg money
I have an MBNA credit card, the 0% balance on this runs out soon so i am looking to shift the money on it. I have a good credit history so i'm thinking of moving it to the capital one balance transfer card (0% until April and no BT fee). MBNA has a facility to transfer funds to a current a/c that normally charges a 3% fee,…

HSBC - It's only a mini Stooze!!!
I've just got a new HSBC mastercard. Twelve month interest free on new purchases - GREAT!!!! Then I noticed that the credit limit is only £1500. So I can stooze all I want provided I don't average more than £28.84 a week. That wouldn't even cover my car fuel. So if I stooze £1500 over 12 months and invest at say 6% thats…

Mint new offer
Anyone taken Mint up on this 13 month 0% offer ? Obviously it's profitable even with the advertised 2.5% fee, but I'd love to hear if anyone has had any success in negotiating it down ... they used to do a £49 cap not so long ago. Anyone ?

I haven't spent any money on the card and I've had it for 3 months. I got a statement yesterday saying that the estimated…

A&L Stoozing
I am now at the end of my A&L 0% overdraft so will be charged the 50p a day (up to £5) that they have just brought in, for me this is a nightmare because i only use my overdraft at the very end of the month, going into it by no more than a few quid for a few days - therefore i will pay a very heavy penalty. I'm prob going…

Household Bills
In the simple version of stoozing it suggests making all purchases on the credit card for the month so that your salary is not touched. What about all your bills that are on dd's. Does everybody who is a successful stoozer on this forum pay these by cash out of the savings or by credit card or do you still use the current…

Best plan for 10K stooze?
I just got a Virgin 0% for 15 months credit card. I'd planned to use 10k from it to pay off my mortage. This would incur a 3% fee, so £300. However, I'll only pay £260 on interest before clearing my mortage, so this plan is a non starter. Plan B is to put 10K in my B+B saving account at 6.4% gross, 5% net. After a year…

Direct Debits FROM a credit card?
I have a SkyCard, which I pay off in full each month. As a bonus, I get SkyPoints which I can use against my Sky bill. At the moment, I spend about £500 per month on it, just from shopping, petrol and odds and ends, paying it off in full. What I would like to do is to pay my household bills through it as well, e.g. Water,…

BT from An Amex - No Takers!
Damn them, damn them all. After previously successfully getting a 0% NatWest Card for 13mths for BTs, and previously getting declined for an Egg Money Card (so no Mule to stooze it into a current account), I was left with the options of not paying off my two other regular credit cards (Nectar Amex and Tesco Clubcard…
