Employed AND self-employed - how do I do it?
Sorry if this answer is somewhere else but everything I read about being self-employed is for people who ONLY work for themselves. I am currently employed (on maternity leave) and when I return in January I will be working P/T. I have no intentions of leaving this job but I'd also like to set up my own small business…

Sole Trader or Limited Company?
As some of you may have read, I'm about to go self-employed and start my own company. I'm not sure what to do about registering my business with Companies House. Is there any extra benefit to be gained with regard to tax etc? Many thanks.

I'm a director, and I do the paperwork, deal with HMRC, VAT etc etc. You could say I add value to the business because we don't have to employ anyone to do the…
