Pop up PM notification problem
I have tried turning the notifiction off but its not saving that change. Mean while, this afternoon its popping up notifying me about old messages and is not acknowlegding even if I delete those old messages! So every time I change threads/look at new page I'm getting pop ups about an old message. Any ideas?

We have a problem MSE
it has come to our attention that people are not able to log in this afternoon The forum pages havent been updated since 3.30ish either What is going on? We need our fix:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Forums not updating with latest posts
Although new posts are made these are not being added to the list of threads. There was some maintenance going on about 3:15 and since then it's gone belly. I added a post to thread after that and the thread moved to the top of the forum with my post listed but on returning the thread had gone back to page two even though…

Removing accidental Thanks?
I keep hitting the thanks button by accident when I'm either scrolling to read or meaning to hit quote- is there any way to remove a thanks?

House Prices, the Economy and Recession board covers some of the biggest ticket items (houses, job prospects and business success). It can help people prepare themselves for the future. Why has it been hidden from public viewing?

Too many new categories
Is it just me or are you also finding that you miss topics because the fact that we now have several new categories. I find that because there are so many `sub` boards, boards that I used to browse i now dont. I kinda have lost myself round the boards :cool: Is it just me or do you think MSE are adding too many boards ?

i think if a thread has been deleted then the OP and any subscribers should be emailed as to let them know the reason of the thread being deleted

The forum is going down hill as it is without having one person with possibly the same user ID posting antagonizing and useless posts that have nothing to do with Debate Houseprices, the economy and the recession. I'd really like if the site didn't automatically mark all threads read after you logged off. Sometimes I can only pop in for a few minutes and don't have time to see all the forums I usually read, but when I come back later, even the threads with new posts that I haven't read show up as 'no new posts'.
