Question: quoting a previous post
hello, Can someone tell me what the quickest way is to quote different parts of a previous post? like is there a code I can insert in my post so it will appear like the brackets instead of pressing quote and having to delete most of it. I have been through the FAQ and its not in there! Thanks Jen

DMP Forum
Just an idea. As there is a Bankruptcy forum and an IVA forum. A Debt Management Plan forum would be a good idea so those going for debt remedies can find all the info they need instead od posting in the wrong forums etc. What do we think? Thanks mbs1

Pages with new posts
I've recently figured out (lol!) that 'since last visiting' the forum, all the new threads since then are highlighted in bold - which really helps while scrolling through. however, some forums have pages of new posts while others probably only have a few new posts, could the 'page numbers' be highlighted too (or underlined…

PayPal-specific issues
Might it be time to devote a forum to sorting out PayPal's high-handed treatment of users? I am specifically concerned with it's naturally cosy relationship with eBay. In the past, an eBay deal was struck in cash or by cheque and settled within a couple of days, to mutual satisfaction. I am not a frequent seller of items…

Re: using the thanks button
Re using the thanks button, I only recently became aware of it, I have had lots of help on here since I joined so I do hope that I have not offended anyone by not using it. It's funny how things go because I have been thanked at the bottom of my posts but just never tied the two together.......

Up Your Income Forum
I was going to post this idea in that forum, but as it is a suggestion regarding a sticky, I've placed it in here. Would it be possible to have a sticky thread that has links to all reputable survey companies and other means of earning cash from home? There are lots of ideas out there, but for a new MSE member coming on…

Christmas Consumer Rights & Myths
MYTH 3. . . . . . if it’s a private seller, then it’s just “let the buyer beware”. Not sure this is correct. If a private seller mis-describes goods, the buyer may be able to claim compensation from the seller.

Social shopping hybrid site
Hi, I'm trying to let Martin know about our website as it's a great way for people to a) Find new and interesting stuff to buy. b) Save money when shopping online. c) Earn money helping people with their shopping. I've searched the site high and low for the appropriate email address or contact form but am at a bit of a…

Can we get rid of the angry smilie?
I have never seen a smilie so able to inflame a discussion as this one. People sometimes use it to signify how strongly they feel about something rather than to signify anger, but it's not conducive to healthy discussion. You wouldn't shake your fist at someone in real life during a discussion, even if you did feel…

He Who Shouts Loudest?
Many people take time to post feedback to the MSE Team on this board. However, it seems that the only way to get a response from the Team is to start an argument? Whilst I understand that it is sensible to get an argument under control as quickly as possible, does that mean that no one else gets a look in? Is it even worth…
