months ago. He left a will leaving everything to my mom but specifically
pointing out all assets in Spain. My mom has found within his documents a UK National Savings Income

Where to save inheritance?
Hi all, I'm a little stuck and confused. My late Nan left me a large (large to me anyway) amount of money. I plan on paying off the small amount of debt I have with it leaving around £11000. ISA rate cut, what to do?
Over the last 5 or so years I have been saving into a Nationwide loyalty ISA. The rate has been 1.4% which I was happy with. I like just having it all in 1 place rather than lots of current accounts. Now the rate is being cut to .25% so it’s time to reassess how I’m saving. Currently have saved £60k. I also have mortgages…

OEIC / investment trusts
Hi All, newbie Question: OEIC - reading up, it suggests that the fund managers increase or decrease units depending on demand, does this mean that if they decide to issue more units, the value of your investment actually decreases and vice versa? is this similar to stocks where a company buys back / releases more shares…

What's the best all-round Online Money Management site (better than Money Dashboard)?
I find that a website that shows me all my savings accounts and current account is a very handy tool to use. Money Dashboard has never been compatible to display savings accounts I have with the Coventry Building Society. They also no longer support The Co-Operative Bank who I have my Current Account with. I also have…

Help with Jisa
hi all, Were expecting our first little one in September and I'm keen to give them a helping hand in life in the form of a JISA. I've already got myself a VLS80 through vanguard so I'm thinking of putting the JISA through there too just for simplicity, although I have a few questions: 1. Can other people contribute to my…

FSCS for Children
If a minor has a bank account in their name but managed by a parent does the child account receive the same £85k protection as the parent. For example if parent has £150k in a savings account and moves 50% to the child savings account, is the full £150k still protected. Is there anything untoward / illegal about moving…

NS&I Investments
The majority of my savings are in NS&I long term bonds. Given the government's huge spending plans to deal with the Covid19 pandemic, are these savings in any way at risk?

Savings help
My son is about to receive a lump sum and then a high monthly wage. I want to encourage him to be sensible with this! We will set up a LISA. I’m unsure what advice to give him regards the rest. He will have another 10k+ to save/invest initially. Plus I’d like him to save/invest at least 1k per month from his salary.

Another downturn, seen it all before...probably a big one this time. Supermarkets are doing well. Online sales in general must be good too. Who are the less obvious ones to do well over the coming months and so will be good investments?

Overpay mortgage rather than save now?
Hi all Nationwide have written to me to let me know my paltry triple access 1 year savings account has gone from 1.10% to 0.4%. I just do not see the point anymore! Is Hong Kong Developed Asia Pacific or Emerging Market?
Some categorisations of Hong Kong list the exchange as
Developed Asia Pacific while others as an Emerging Market. Is the answer that it
depends on the individual company? - if it is HK-based it is Developed AP, and
if it is a Chinese company trading as an H-share it is EM?

how long is a piece of string? and (not) timing the market
Market timing (ish) questions; 1. We have £20K in cash in Santander 1-2-3; we always tend to keep around this amount if we can as our emergency cash fund. We have a one off lump sum of around £15K being paid to us before the end of May (part of a settlement agreement with ex employer). I'm tempted to dip into these cash…
