New Interest Allowance
Hi, Now that we are allowed to earn £1000 interest before we pay any tax, I am wondering, do I fill an R85 form in and send it to my bank to get my interest paid without tax being taken off, or do I have to claim it back from the tax office.(HMRC). I am still working and pay income tax at normal 20%. Thanks in advance for…

Circulating money through multiple bank accounts
Apologies if this is a really stupid question, but Iy want to be sure. When following a MSE type routine, where money goes in to one account on Day One and then into another unconnected external account on Day Two etc. Do weekends and Bank Holidays count or do the balances have to be from working days?

Amount subscribed (ISA Transfer)
When I decided to move my IF ISA I transferred a large sum in from my IF current account. When I started looking at ISAs I decided I didn't want to tie all of that up so I transferred most of it back. Although the amount was only in the ISA for half an hour, does it count towards the amount subscribed this year for the…

Fund platform change
In preparation for the new tax year, am I right in thinking that you can just start a new S&S ISA after 6th with a new platform and leave a current S&S ISA with a current platform to avoid exit fees? In other words ok to have a dormant ISA and an active ISA building up elsewhere?

A quick ISA question
I appreciate that this is perhaps a dumb question but I hope some kind soul here can help me. I have two ISAs. One is a 123 2 year fixed rate with Santander (£5940)running until 01/05/2016 at 2.30% and the other is a Fixed Rate ISA with Coventry BS (£15,000) fixed until 31.05.2018 at 2.75%. My question is this: I currently…

Basic S&S withdrawal question
I'm fairly certain I know the answer but would like some reassurance as my life plan depends on this. I am paying into the LGPS, now a CARE scheme, which i will take at NRA. I intend to retire early and live solely off withdrawals from a S&S ISA. I am right in saying I can withdraw any amount from this per year tax free?…

Provident Financial Bond
Just read an article about the bond issued by Provident offering 5.125 % interest PA until 2023. Thought it may be a good tax free (ISA) investment. Your thoughts? Nothing is guaranteed but I would argue its unlikely Provident would go bust

Unable to get money out of new Tesco Saving Accounts
I set up a couple of Tesco Saving accounts for my Halifax reward. All has gone to plan, except I now can't get the money out! There is only £2 in there. I've tried moving £2 and £1. It just tells me my new payee (Nationwide FlexDirect) has been accepted but they can't complete the transaction and to try again later. No…

What a wind up
What was the point of the ISA information in this weeks email? I can't open a new account with the Post Office because even applying online, they require me to send proof of ID through the post. So, I have just spent an hour online, and on the phone, opening an account, and all for nothing! Good advice is always welcome -…
