I have just opened a 123 account to get all the savings. I have 6k to save and was going to put 3 in 123 and 3 in a cash isa. House Sale Proceeds.

Making money off an investor isa
Having set a target of 10,000 I then check the share price of my funds if the overall fund rises I tweak the shares and draw of some of my equity. I cannot see any problem as the investor isa is dead money as it rises and falls. Has anyone have any thoughts on this.

Does your pension fund use private equity & hedge funds?
I've just discovered that my (deferred) occupational pension fund is 50% invested in 'absolute return funds' Is this the same as a hedge fund? According to this article so in view of the dubious returns should I be asking the trustees some difficult questions?
