Not sure about savings?
So, I'm just about to start university, but I've been working fulltime for most of the year so I have a (very, very small :( ) amount of money saved up. Fortunately, I have managed to go part time at my current place of work, and should have enough money coming in to cover bills, rent etc. with some left over. I've already…

Looking for an IFA - I will pay 5% maybe 10%!
I'mlooking foran IFA to handle £400k - I would be more than happy to pay him 5%, maybe even 10% + VAT on the increase in value of my portfolio on an annual basis - so if my portfolio drops in value he pays me - would any IFAs work on that basis - no doubt if they're any good they would! In fact I would be happy to pay an…

Ftse 100 Capital Protected
Hi Some 19 months ago I put away £10,200 in a capital protected investment scheme with Scottish Widows. It results in growth capped at some 40 odd percent off my capital if the FTSE 100 flourish. At the time I thought the ftse was at its lowest ebb and the only way was slight growth but subsequently been proved very wrong.…

Saving and mortgage payments
I am 34, Husband is 31, and I want to pay off our mortgage by the time I am 40. Husband has just been invited to join the Next Sharesave Scheme, so we're planning on putting in £250 (if we go ahead with it) and then also saving another £250pm. I am in a good job and can probably afford lump sum payments on top of that of…
