Who underwrites tesco/Are tesco a 'bank?
Hi all, I'm hoping this is a simple question but one I don't know what to google for... We are after a simple savings account to build up some cash for new stuff for our house, so a tesco savings account seems like a good plan (we can pay cheques/cash in by just walking over the road :) ) However... my boyfriend keeps…

Interest calculation
Only a quickie... When OH's fixed rate with Halifax ran out in September, we put the funds into my Websaver Reward while it still had the 5% rate. It ends in a couple of weeks so I'll need to split this money off again from mine, plus relevant interest. Seems a straightforward calculation, but just checking... is this…

Cazenove Absolute UK Dynamic fund
Hi I wonder if anyone out there has invested in this fund and is beginning to question why there is a 20% performance fee when the performance so far has been considerably less than the 10% growth per annum suggested? Where should I save £350 a month?
I have £350 a month to invest but am unsure where to out it. I thought about a regular saver but the limit seems to be mostly £250. I don't need access to the money for about 18 months. I did wonder about one of the corporate bonds but I'm not sure how they work. Any advice would be welcome :j

Choosing 1 yr or 3 yr fixed rate - decision time!
After considering all options I have now narrowed my choice of bonds down to 1 yr fixed savings bond NS&I 3.95% or Birmingham Midshires 3 yr fixed savings bond 4.65% which has 90 days loss of interest penalty if need be. I have between £20-25000 to put in one of these which I could afford to tie up. Could someone please…
