Legal & General Diversified Absolute Return
I quite fancy this fund http://www.h-l.co.uk/funds/security_details/sedol/B3DPCY0 It has performed well and seems to be a new breed of "absolute return" fund in being "diversified" rather than just being specifc to, for example, UK equities or bonds like the other absolute return funds (such as Blackrock Absolute Alpha).…

Money market portal comparison website
Does anyone know the website for comparing money market deposits in the UK please? I used one recently but have forgotten it. You could plug in amount that you had to invest, how long you could invest it for and it returned all the institutions and their interest rates that they would pay? Many thanks, S

Conflict of Advice?
Can anyone tell me why is there conflicting advice from the government on invested funds? Specifically Child Trust Funds Vs Endowment Policies. My 10 year old endowment policy (now just kept as a nest egg) is only predicted to increase at 4% a year, with 13 years to go. It has not yet even reached the stage of matching…

Should I suspend payments into Child Trust Fund until it recovers?
My son’s child trust fund now has less in it than a year ago, not even counting the additional payments I made throughout last year. I understand that investment accounts go up and down and this is obviously a bad time to look at the value. I have stopped the standing order into the account (no point wasting more money)…

My account at N&P BS is a paltry 1.45%, very disgusted with myself and in need of a shake up! I currently have £3165 in this account and pay £135 a month in to it, no ISA, no debt, but a mortgage of £47500…

ING changes their savings rate retrospectively
I was by turns amused and disappointed to receive this email from ING telling me they were lowering the savings rate....and doing this from November last year! Ouch. Why not backdate it 5 years... <img alt="ING Direct - Saving feels good" width="239" height="71"><img alt="INGDIRECT.CO.UK 0845 603 8888" width="196"…
