Capital One messing me about
Hi, I first wrote to Capital One in November 2012, asking for information regarding any credit cards that I may have had with them in the past (I didn't know about SAR at the time). I knew that I used to have a credit card with them and that it probably had PPI, but didn't have any documentation to prove it. The first…

Barclaycard PPI upheld, but how far back did they go?
Hi all, Just had a letter from BC telling me that my complaint has been upheld. There is a confusing paragraph in the letter, which I will put on if required which is to do with the period of time from which they calculate PPI payments. It makes reference in one sentence to six years, then in another it says "recent…

HSBC miscalculated income tax
HSBC has made me an offer for my PPI claim but has miscalculated the 20% tax. In their favour, obviously. Nothing in their literature shows an avenue for querying a mistake, instead suggesting the only option is to go to the Ombudsman. Is that really the only way to query this?
