HSBC offer to pay £3,370.95 against £3,520.50
Hi - came on yesterday to ask advice about Notice of Acknowledgement from court - and have just come home to letter from HSBC offering the above. I am happy to accept their offer (£1,000 less than court claim as no interest) -although sad I've got to use it to pay off my credit card, but hey, it's paid off ten years sooner…

new information- about going to court
i've found on a website, information on requesting that the banks defence is thrown out of court as it is an abuse of process. it is based on the fact that a previous case was thrown out in the persuers favour as it was questioned that the bank was using delay tactics and intimidating it's customers. anyone know anymore? :T

What about overseas residents?
I moved to France 3 years ago but retain my UK bank current account, and have had charges for exceeding my overdraft limit both before and after I moved to France. Can I reclaim any charges even though I'm not a UK resident?
