Hik Apologies if this not the right place to post this. We have just moved into a new property and are in the process of setting up a phone and broadband service. The only problem, is that the phone line that comes into the property ends in an old fashiooned hard wired GPO terminal. (The type from the days when all phones…

18185 - no ringing tone?
I have been using 18185 for a couple of months now with no problems. However this week I have been dialling out on 18185 and I get the 'zero p per minute' message but no ringing tone after that. The call is being connected as someone answers but I don't know if it's ringing or not! Any ideas out there?

We are going to be renting and we have been given the telephone number we'll be using and it's a BT line. I'm confused about…

Pass through numbers and BT connection Charges
I have been making many landline calls through 0844 205050 which charges .5ppm. My BT bill shows a very different cost per call. Be careful with pass through numbers because in broad terms BT charges 9.3p connection charge to all numbers other than free calls. It would therefore have been cheaper for me to have called via…

18185 - cost of calls to mobiles
I've recently signed up to 18185. I cannot seem to figure out how much it costs me to call from my landline to a mobile? Do I use the prefix 18185 when calling a mobile? I've got confused because I had to register my mobile number (which I never use) with them. Their website is confusing me. Thanks anyone.

Talk Talk Cut Free Evening Calls and increase some prices from 1/6/2010
No surprise to see Talk Talk following BT. Others will no doubt follow. " Our daytime/peak calling hours are changing from 6am - 6pm to 7am - 7pm. So if you're on an evening and weekend plan (not an 'anytime' one), your inclusive weekday evening calls (e.g. to 01, 02 and 03 numbers) will run from 7pm - 7am. The weekend…

Help with BT fault
Hello, I doubt anyone can help me, but I'm in a right mess. During a change of ADSL provider, my BT line was cut off - when I phoned to report the fault they said there was no fault and that it would cost me £127.50 for an engineer visit to look into my wiring. I have tried to explain that it is not the wiring, but was…

BT Contract Issue.

BT Online Account - inaccurate payment plan details
This is the first post I have made on this forum. I have been a customer of BT for home phone services only, on a yearly contract, for 2 years. BT are expensive, and keep raising their charges, with the complicity of OfCom. To give myself more options, I decided to leave the 12 month contract prior to its conclusion, in my…
