If grass seeds don't show up on xrays.....
.....how do they get found? Had a conversation the other day about grass seeds that migrate to other areas within a dog's body. What I don't understand is how they are tracked?

Taking the Plunge.
I might be going mad, but I have just submitted two applications for volunteering - one to the local PDSA, and one to a Wildlife Hospital/Companion Animal Shelter. I'm not really expecting to hear back - after all, the extent of my experience is having pets myself - and I'm not exactly superfit. And I don't know if I will…

Alternative Cat Foods
I'm trying to find a good quality food for my 6 year old cat, Milo but I'm clueless about cat nutrition really! He's quite fussy and has got quite a sensitive stomach. He also had an acute attack of Pancreatitis last October which involved a few days at the vets and medication for a few weeks. Since then he's been on the…

Cat worming... any tips?
Have failed miserably with new moggie today, he spat the tablet out so many times there wasn't much left so I've given up and will get the vet to do it on Wed when he goes for a booster! Also tried crushing it into food and cheese (which he loves) but he spits that out too so would probably take two days of meals to get a…

Help Please - Cat
Hey I've been keeping an eye on a local cat who I think might be my neighbours but I'm not 100% sure, I have a feeling she might have lived there before they moved in and kept coming back so they let her in. She is left outside all day everyday and only seems to be allowed inside once in a blue moon and we all know how…

Good barking deterrents?
The neighbours dog seems to be getting worse in terms of barking and its starting to drive me a little crazy. I've been looking on Amazon for some of the electronic dog barking deterrents, but they all seem to have mixed reviews. Anyone care to recommend a good one, needs to be an outdoor type rather than a hand held.

Weird cat behavior
My cat, who is usually found asleep somewhere in the house during the day has suddenly become very skittish. She comes in as normal in the morning to eat then wants to go out straight away. She will then be found wanting to come indoors later, but only to eat, then straight outside again. When I don't let her out she paces…

Cats causing me to have kittens!
We've recently bought and moved into our first home. I have three indoor cats; Magic, a male Maine Coon; Harris, a male Maine Coon and Kora, a female Bengal. Last Sunday the SKY installer visited and I had Harris and Kora in the kitchen with me 'helping' to unpack. I closed them in there whilst Magic made friends with the…

Indoor cat question
I will do some research into this (indeed this is part of my research!) but doesn't any body know if there is a higher incidence of cystitis amongst indoor cats?

poor moggy
I may enter into a rant so please bear with me. My cat went missing last week. I phoned the vet on a whim, not expecting to find out anything, but more out of sheer desperation. Unfortunately the vet had her. Someone had knocked her over and killed her. I am so angry. The person who ran her over didn't stop. Fortunately…

Cat Spot on Treatment - which one?
Our kitten was given a free application of spot on when she had her initial vaccinations and now were confused as to which one to use as the vets recommend/used Advocate which will cost £7.00 every 4 weeks  There are so many on the market and I know that products such as Johnsons/Bob Martin are a weak product but what…

Hi all, Around a year ago, my younger sister moved in with her boyfriend. He then proceeded to bring home a 5 year old Dogue de Bordeaux....
