So I phoned today and they agreed and…
NHS Pension missing years
I joined the NHS in the 1970's and worked on off for about nearly 10 years, and returning to the NHS in the late 1990s. When I applied for my NHS pension the NHS omitted to include the years worked in the 1970's a 1980's. I tried to claim the missing years of pension without success. Finally the Ombudsman told me that I…

I originally posted this on the benefits section, but possibly may be better posting here ? HiI am currently 65 years of age, and due to receive my State Pension next July 2021, I have 49 years of N/I contributions, but in order to receive the maximum pension I still require a further single contribution from the current…
Pension or mortgage
I have £10000, yes 10k in my NEST pension as only offered for 4 years. I’m 60 and took out a 9 year mortgage this year. Realistically is it better to draw 25% to pay off mortgage to reduce term or not. I just think the 10k is realistically worth about fiver a week if that whereas mortgage free would allow me to live ok
