Best way to monitor DC pension performance?
I was wondering what the best way is to monitor pension performance? Five years ago, the company I worked for at the time used the People's Pension. When I left the business onto pastures new, I left the contributions in there. I was a bit naive and didn't realise charges were a thing with pension pots so I imagine charges…

I have a small pension pot of £25000 with Aviva due to pay out in 5 years. I’ve just received a letter asking me if I want to move to a Phased Switching option. Can someone explain what that means and if it is worth taking this option for such a small pot? Thanks

40% Tax Relief
As a teacher in the independent sector, my pension has moved from TPS to a new scheme from Aviva. This is more flexible and we can choose how much we pay in direct from our salary. I was on the understanding that, as a higher rate tax payer, I get 40% tax relief on this. I assumed that this is taken at source i.e. If I…

Royal London GRIPS for Flexi access drawdown
Hi Had anyone any experience with Royal London for drawdown? I'm interested in their ease of self administration for FAD, transparency, charges etc. It's hard to know what a provider will be like when in drawdown unless you are. There's far more information to be had in the accumulation side. I like the fact they are a…
