Does anyone know of a UK calculator that works out growth on investment as well as regular withdrawals, giving how much investment remains after a series of withdrawals? I'm looking for one that lets me spend my capital instead of preserving it. If not, does anyone know how to do such a sum in Excel please?? :D

Agency commission
I'm due to retire on May 31, so I've been shopping around for an enhanced annuity. One agency produced the best offer, but when I looked at the details, I was horrified to discover that over 3% of my £200,000+ pot would be paid to the agent as commission. This is on the basis of them doing five minutes of online search…

First pension - Personal or Stakeholder? Anything else to note?
Hi I'm 24 and looking at starting up a pension. Up until now I've ignore the pension and preferred to try to write off some debts instead, on the theory that paying off a high interest rate is more important than saving in a low one. My employer offers a pension contribution which I've opted out of until now (for the…

New personal pension - does this seem sound enough?
OK, so after much further reading, digesting and thinking I've come to the conclusion I should follow a passive investment strategy. With a 10 year minimum investment period and an adventurous outlook on the investments I am looking at a 75% equity split. I was leaning towards a Vanguard LifeStrategy product for ease but…
