Up to what time to avoid M25 to Heathrow
On Friday 3rd April we are travelling down to Heathrow from 'up north', a journey that would take approx 4 hours. There is no worry about what time we get there as we are not flying until Saturday lunch time and we are staying overnight in a hotel close to Heathrow. We will leave our area at about 2pm and will take the…

We don't want to travel too far so are looking to stay in this country. We live…

Asked to find: somewhere 'hot' for a week - but classy!
I've been asked by my boss to book another holiday for her and her husband. They're based in Newcastle but could travel to Manchester. It'll be for a week and they have a fairly good budget - I'd say maybe £1500 max for flights and hotel, departing 9 April for seven days. Thing is, she likes either classy places or…

Senior Railcard and Senior Bus Pass
Firstly, apologies if this has already been reported, just a few things I've only just discovered. (Strictly, the only restriction seems to be for journeys which are wholly within the London area). Also, the…

Bringing back booze from EU
Relatives are returning to the UK from Cyprus and bringing all their furniture etc. back in a storage container. Does anyone know if they can bring back duty paid (in Cyprus) alcohol, ie wine and spirits (not cigs) for their own consumption, or is that method of transport importing, and illegal? Anyone know?
