Mortgages and Ltv's, help appreciated!
I couldn't find any info on this so hence the thread and question! Is it easier to get a mortgage with a lower Ltv on my home? I understand I can get a cheaper mortgage with a low Ltv. Say I had an Ltv of 60%, would this be easier to get a mortgage from a lender than say a 90% Ltv? Thanks and sorry if this has been asked…

Self build advice / finance advice
Hi I’m considering selling my house and buying an old barn with planning permission. The barn is uninhabitable as there are no utilities etc. and so I guess a self build mortgage will be required. I’m currently with Metro and so there will be an early redemption fee as I’m pretty sure my existing mortgage is not portable…

This was a default back in 2014 but I had only found out about it in 2016, I called nationwide…

Should I port my existing mortgage on lifetime tracker?
I have done very well on my mortgage deal which I took out in 2004; it is a lifetime tracker at 0.99 above BofE base rate, so for many years has been 1.24%. I'm buying a new property and the plan was to pay off the mortgage remaining (31k) then take a mortgage of £225k at 1.29% fixed for 2 years. However, as I'm remaining…

Hi I'm on a fixed rate 5yr mortgage at 2.99%. I regularly over-pay my mortgage by whats available at the end of the month.
