the girlfriend run off with a toyboy over ten years ago, we had a mortgage together which she never paid into. she has disappeared and never claimed or serviced the house in any way. can i claim full rights over the house due to her abandoning the house as in the case of squatters after ten years?? just a thought

i'm currently paying nearly 9% on my mortgage and can not swap. can i do anything about this? my rate ALWAYS goes up but very rarely down hence the high rate, but surely this isn't what you would call variable?
