Is this IFA feeding me lies?
Hi, I've just been on the phone to an Independent mortgage adviser, and I got the impression that the person I was talking to was not being totally honest with me. We started talking about fees and what the term "Independent" means. The IFA told me that they charge a fee of £199, but mumbled about some "other fees" that…

Paying off Mortgage with Abbey
As we are getting nowhere with the Abbey in relation to letting our house to the council who then wish to sub-let I today phoned them to enquire about paying off the mortgage and was told they require £225 for "administrative charges". Seems a bit steep to me, I was expecting maybe £100 or so.
