mortgage overpay or save in ISA
Hi I have a 140K Mortgage with 50K equity. The two scenarios or variation: 1. Ovepay mortgage on monthly interest calculated, or save in ISA. 2. It is highly possible i may sell up in 2-3 years. Is it better to overpay and sell in 2-3 years or put money into ISA. ?

Loan to pay off mortgage - is it a good idea?
I've been looking at the option of paying off our mortgage. It's 16,500 at the moment and the 25 year term is up in 2013. It's an endowment mortgage. I am thinking of (a) keeping the endowment going purely as an investment (b) getting a loan for approx £10,000 to be paid back over 2 - 3 years. Is this a wise move? Thanks

Paid to repayment not interest only -problem?
In August we paid £15000 off mortgage from maturing endowment. At the time we had £20000 on interest only and £59000 on repayment; the money was to come off the former leaving only £5000 as interest only. When I checked the money had been paid from the repayment part. I was reassured it didn't make much difference overall…

Hi, I've been searching around for the answer to this question but got nowhere so I'd like opinions or redirections to answers. Expecting payrise - should I overpay mortgage or buy extra pension?
The mortgage is huge (130k) and on a 9 year fix at 5.01%. I'm already overpaying by £50 per month, but the pay rise, plus the money released by no longer being in debt (:j ) means I could start overpaying by a further £250 per month. This would mean no more mortgage in 12 1/2 years. Or, should I put the extra into my…
