SIP Shares vs paying off debt
I have been saving in SIP shares for around 5 years and have approx £5000 available but these would be subject to tax as not yet matured. If I were to leave these they would double in value in 5 years. However my dilemma is I owe £6000 in debt and am paying interest on this every month. Should I just take the £5000 (£4000…

25% fee of closing a LISA
Quick question regarding closing a LISA without being at the required age or purchasing your first house: Is the 25% penalty the bonus that you received, and therefore you wouldn't actually lose any of your own money you put in? I ask because I wish to open one, but in the event that I move abroad in the future, I'd like…

Suitability report requirement on ISA provider change?
Dear all, I wonder if someone can explain in what circumstances an IFA is required to provide a suitability report when a customer wishes to move an ISA to a different provider. This relates to an ISA on which the IFA advised around 10 years ago. Based on that advice, the ISA was arranged by him with an investment…

HTB deposits need to come from an account in his name?
My son has come to live at home and is working. I have suggested that he opens a HTB ISA before 30th Nov. Do the monthly deposits need to come from an account in his name? I would prefer to pay them in from my account to ensure continuity. Is this allowed? Thank you.

Is my Barclays instant ISA any good?
I'm saving to buy a flat, and think I need a better ISA. I owned a flat before, so not eligible for a Help to Buy (I don't think anyway). I have a Barclays 'Instant ISA' I've not used for years. I can't find anywhere on the website that tells me what the rate is, to see if it's any good. Any help would be great.
