Transfer a fixed ISA to Halifax
I have a fixed Lloyds ISA maturing in a few weeks time. I want to transfer the ISA to a Halifax Fixed ISA. Is there an easy way to do this? I can't find any ISA transfer forms on the Halifax site.

ISA Split Query
We're in the new tax year and there is a potential £20,000 that can be put away. I'm unsure on this though: 1) If I were to put £10,000 into Zopa's ISA could I also put £10,000 into RateSetters ISA. or 2) If I put £10,000 into Zopa's ISA could I also put £10,000 into a Bank/Building Societys cash ISA. I'm confused and…

Stocks & Shares ISA help!
Hello! The more about these I read... the more confused I get. I have £14000 I can invest and I like the idea of a S&S ISA. Probably won't need to access the cash for at least 10 years. And I'm able to set up a direct debit out my bank for £25-50 per month. Happy to go with a mix of medium and high risk to maximise growth.…

Accumulation or Income?
Hi All, My colleague invests in an Stocks and Shares ISA. He tells me his strategy: He invests in several funds but specifically selects the 'income' variant and not the 'accumulation' variant. However, he has set the income paid to be automatically reinvested. Isn't this the same behaviour as an accumulation fund? I'm…

Basic ISA question !
Hello I recently opened a cash ISA with Paragon, and transferred 65k from my Virgin ISA. I then paid in 20k "new" money to this new ISA (my ISA allowance for 2018-19). The Virgin ISA is now paying a rate of 0.51%. Can I open another ISA to transfer the remaining Virgin ISA money into, to get a better rate on this ISA…

Nationwide go slow
Anyone thinking of opening Nationwide's 'single withdrawal' cash ISA had better brace themselves for appalling service. I successfully applied for this product at 9am on 6 April. I know the application was fine, because I have a screenshot to prove it. At the time of writing, I have been waiting 11 days for Nationwide to…

HMRC ISA documentation update
I (and others) have often referred to the large 300+ page PDF guidance document explaining all the official rules around ISAs but the URL for this document is no longer valid since the end of the 2017/18 tax year, as it seems to have been replaced by a set of guidance pages at…

Htb isa help - re-mortgage
Hi All, Does anyone know if you can use a HTB ISA for a RE-MORTGAE with my partner who is a FIRST TIME BUYER. I purchased a house 3 years ago. My partner has a HTB ISA in her own name, I am remortgaging and adding her to the mortgage so techinically this is her first home. Can we use her HTB ISA? Thanks

Transferring from CTF to Junior ISA
Are there any disadvantages at all in moving from a Child Trust Fund to a Junior ISA ? My niece and nephew both have CTF - One with Natwest and the other with Foresters. Neither look particularly attractive, but looking at the possibility of moving them both elsewhere. Thanks in advance

Junior ISA's
We've been putting money into a junior ISA for over 4 years, all from child benefit. Issue now is that we've realised that we shouldn't have received the child benefit due to the high earners tax. I've read many Terms and conditions so expect the answer is no, but is there any other way apart from death or terminal illness…

S&S ISA: Barclays, Selftrade, iWeb
We are happy with our SIPP provider (HL). We want to consider a different provider for our S&S ISAs. The tables in Monevator have encouraged me to consider three: Barclays, Selftrade, iWeb. I see that the first two have had a panning on the internet for the quality of their software. Has anyone here any recent experience…

Fixed ISA Maturing? Be careful!
Here's a little warning about a new (to me) abuse of the "do nothing" option being a bad thing. My mother has a YBS (Yorkshire Building Society) fixed-term ISA about to mature and has received the paper work asking what she wants to do with it. We had a read through yesterday (I have to earn my Sunday lunch!). It was a…

Best Way to Invest in Tesla Shares via ISA
Hi, Looking for low cost options to buy Tesla shares in the US. Ideally it would be via an ISA, that also allows other investments in funds for example. The reason being I only want to make a limited investment in Tesla, and certainly not the full ISA allowance. So the ISA would ideally be a good, low-cost fund platform at…

Bed and ISA or buy more?
I'm not a financial wizzkid so here goes.. I have a stack of shares in certificated form outside of an ISA with a yield of between 5 and 6% Should I a) Sell a bunch of the shares and bed and ISA them to shelter them from tax or b) not sell any of the certificated non isa shares and simply buy more of the same within the…

Best investment trust stocks and shares ISA?
I want to move my cash ISA into equities. There's about £80k, and I can add another £20k to that. I have no fixed ideas about what to invest in, nor any particular timescale the money needs to be invested for. I don't rate myself as a stock picker. The default option is to find the lowest cost platform that will allow me…

TSB ISA Confusion
I have had a TSB 2yr Fixed Cash Isa which is ending this week, they sent 10 pages of information about what to do but aren't very helpful so I went into a branch this morning, the option is another 2 years at 1% Fixed, or let it roll into a Cash Saver ISA at 0.2%. If I agree to the new 2 year Fixed ISA with TSB they are…

Maturing JISA
I know that a maturing JISA is automatically converted to an adult ISA on the child's 18th birthday. My question is do the contributions made to the JISA in the tax year of the child's birthday count towards their adult ISA allowance?

Different rate ISA applied
When we get the weekly email, we got one for the new best isa rates in march and saw virgin offering 1.5% fixed so we applied and set up the transfer from the post office account and have had a look at the rate for both of us has been dropped to 1.3% are they allowed to do that or am i missing something.

Nationwide ISA
Hi I'm looking at the 1.3% ISA allowing 1 withdrawal. Does anyone know if you can do a part transfer out which would count as a withdrawal? I may want to do a part transfer to stocks and shares ISA. Looking at the t and cs it says you can withdraw to a nationwide account so I assume a partial transfer to another ISA…

New to the investing game
Hello all, I am considering opening my first S&S ISA. After some reading and considering my risk profile, I am considering investing in the VLS80 and hopefully in the next few years when I get some experience I will expand my portfolio further. (I'm 28, currently buying my first property and have some cash savings as an…
