Paying into multiple ISA types with different providers
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help shed some light on a confusing (for me) situation. I have two ISAs, a cash ISA with Nationwide and an IFISA with Funding Circle. I set-up and paid into the IFISA recently (i.e. within this tax year) and today attempted to pay into the cash ISA. However, Nationwide told me I couldn't because…

RBS Isa
My RBS Instant access Isa bonus offer is coming to an end in May. I had 1.05% for 1 year only (includes bonus). They have written to let me know and are offering me a new Isa of .075% bonus per annum in addition to the standard variable of 0.75%. So I take this to mean I will earn 1.50% for the year (on the first 20K…

Do I have to transfer ALL of an old ISA?
I have a cash isa about to end on 18th May. Can I leave half of it with them ticking away and transfer half of it to a new isa? Or Can I transfer half from my old isa to a new one in my name and half from my old isa to a new one in my husband's name? Hope you can help. K

Can I close a JISA?
Apologies for cross-posting but I got no answers in the JISA thread. One of the main reasons I am putting money into a JISA is to stop me having access to it in years to come! However, it occurs to me that I could just close it whenever i want and pull the money out. Is that so or are they "unclosable"?

Transferring a Help to Buy ISA
Hi all, I'm just in the process of transferring a HTB ISA that's been at Newcastle for a couple of years to Aldermore. I created the new ISA ticking the checkbox for 'transferring in' and also 'paying in new money'. Aldermore then told me I could fund it to a maximum of £1200 in the first calendar month. Am I right in…

Maturing ISA over £20K
A good problem to have I know but we have an ISA which has been added to over the years and has been with Birmingham Midshire for a Fixed Rate for the last 3 years. It is now - including the interest over the £20,000 you can invest in an ISA. Does anyone know what happens if you transfer into another ISA (the Birmingham…

Cash ISA
I am looking for an ISA for my wife to put money into each month to get interest as much as possible and be able to take the money out in about 2 years time when the money is due to pay for a new house being built in Belarus where she comes from and her Son is living in it at this time and doing the work to finish off the…

Fees from Jisa or not?
I am just opening a stocks and shares JISA and have the option of having the monthly fees deducted from the JISA or paid elsewhere. The wording is: "set up a fee preference so that your JISA fees can be debited from a separate account and not impact your annual subscription allowance". But surely it would be beneficial for…

Does this count as ‘buying with a mortgage’?
Hi folks, So I have a LISA, and looking to buy somewhere in the region of 250k. Now as it happens my parents have some spare cash and are keen to act as my mortgage provider... I.e. a solicitor draws up some mortgage style agreement, whereby I pay them instead of a bank. I appreciate this is quite a tricky question but…

Have I made a mistake - H2B ISA and LISA
I have had a Help to Buy ISA since they started and was planning to transfer the balance to a lifetime ISA before the end of 2017/2018 tax year so I opened a LISA and put in £1 to start the clock "ticking" as it were. However, before I started the transfer we found a house that we would like to buy, so have ignored…

Using ISA allowance for mix of cash and stocks and shares
I'd like a cash and a S&S ISA in this tax year. Am I right in thinking that I can set up a S&S ISA for my full allowance now, withdraw say £1k/month from it, and move this across to a S&S ISA with a different provider? Sorry, struggling a bit to make sense of the current rules!

Junior ISA limit
Probably the stupidest questions... but I cannot find the answers anywhere: I read that the maximum I can put in a Junior ISA this tax year is £4260. I assume that next year the limit will be roughly the same. (For the purposes of this question let's say that it will be the same next tax year). Does that mean that is the…

ISA newbie questions
Hi, I've recently inherited a sum of money and am considering an ISA as one of my options. If I was to put £20,000 into a fixed rate ISA, how is the interest percentage worked out? Eg; Halifax currently offer 2.25% fixed for 5 years. So does that mean my £20,000 is muliplied by 2.25% which'd total £20,450 in 5 years time?…

ISA 'subsciption' issue
I have subscribed the full £20k for 18/19 into a cash ISA. I have a previous year ISA containing individual shares, the dividend income from which goes into an ' income account'. I know that I am allowed to use any proceeds from sale of shares to invest in new purchases without it counting as a new subscription but what…

New to S&S ISAs
Am looking to invest £200-250/ mth in S&S ISA (no lump sum) - looking at doing this direct through Vanguard (probably a lifestrategy fund) I've had a read around on here (the guides and various threads) and elsewhere on t'net. Charges-wise, could I do any better going elsewhere? (that's where I start to get confused...…

Help2buy transfer to Lisa delays
Hi my son applied for a Skipton LISA and requested a transfer from his Halifax H2B ISA. This was requested on 24th Feb. Still no transfer! Has anyone else suffered and know what recourse he has. Basically he will lose a chunk of bonus as a result. We followed Martins advice. Thanks.

Missed Deadline for H2B to LISA
Hello! I'm really quite confused about the specifics of transfer between H2B and LISA: I currently have a Help to Buy ISA and missed the end of tax year deadline to transfer to a Lifetime ISA, and have a clean slate for contributions in 2018/19 :( I have some (maybe dumb) questions which are really confusing me, and would…
