Isa question
I already have an isa from previous years and wanted to know could I transfer it to a different account and then put new cash into a new isa for this tax year or does this count as opening two Isas in the same tax year? I hope the question makes sense Thanks

Post Office ISA withdrawal
My husband is trying to withdraw some money from his online instant access cash ISA. The money has been taken from the account and has been put into a holding account (which pays less interest). Although, on several occasions, he has given them his NatWest bank details into which the money should be transferred, PO are…

Help to buy isa
Official MSE Insert: You may also find our fully researched Help to Buy ISA guide helpful. Back to the original post... The only help to buy ISA I have found so far is nationwide save to buy ISA - I assume same thing. Has any other bank/building society actually launched one? Anyone else here looking at opening one?

Moving money between ISAs with the same provider
I have two ISAs with Nationwide; one is easy access and the other is a regular saver. If I put money into the easy access ISA then can I transfer it to the regular saver without it counting against my ISA allowance again? The regular saver doesn't allow transfers in so I'm guessing that I can't, but not sure it counts as a…

ISA question
I opened a Post Office Easy Access Issue 2 last month. I see that Nationwide have an ISA which is paying 1.50%. I would like to move the Post Office isa to Nationwide as I already have bank/credit card accounts there and I want to do a bit of financial housekeeping. I'm assuming its ok to move the Post Office isa to…

ISA rules
Hi I'm a long time MSE follower but first time on the forums. I'm hoping someone can clarify an ISA rule for me. I'm sure this is a really simple question. At least I thought it was but recently I've had a load of conflicting answers... I understand I can only pay new cash into 1 new cash ISA / year. I already have some…

I applied to transfer an isa from santander to Yorkshire on 1st Aprl but still no letter from santander and no funds in Yorkshire yet. I visited Yorkshire and they weren't concerned, saying we haven't reached 15 days yet (we have now!) When should I leave this till? Am I on my right to say to Yorkshire that they should pay…

Islamic banks in UK
How is it that these banks are able to offer the top rate ISA rates (2.2%) and every other financial institution rates in the UK are so low? I looked at the Santander 123 account instead of the ISA accounts but that is a lot of faffing around with 2 direct debits and a minimum £500 going into account...etc - these…

Post Office Fixed Rate Cash ISA PROBLEM!!!
I applied for a Post Office Fixed Rate Cash ISA at my local PO branch on March 27th (the deadline was 28th for in-branch applications), and paid my full 2014-2015 allowance by debit card, having transferred it into my current account from my savings the day before. The payment went through instantly and £15,000 was taken…

Cash ISA transfer - old account closed?
Hello, this may be an obvious question. When I transfer a cash ISA from one provider to the other - I assume the old cash ISA account will be closed after the funds have moved? (instantly? what happens to pending interest etc) Or does only the money held within it move and the account will remain there? finally: if the old…

New tax year - ISA DD payments?
Hi In February, I started paying into a S&S ISA by DD every month (just £200 per month, I'm only finding my feet!). I just realised that the April DD came out on 7th April, so does that mean I've started a new S&S ISA for 2015/2016, even though I haven't signed anything? Sorry if that's a daft question - I just thought I'd…

Transferring funds from cash ISA to investment ISA (different provider)
I have a cash ISA from a high street bank. There's around £25k in it. I would like to take out a couple of grand at a time and transfer them to another provider that offers stock trading. Is it okay if I... 1. keep both ISA accounts open (since once is cash and the other is S&S)? 2. transfer money from the cash ISA to the…

I wanted to transfer to another provider and have filled in a transfer request form. Am I ok do transfer even if contributed this year and just continue to pay in to my Halifax ISA? I know you…

Transfer out of S&S ISA to Cash over Election
I am thinking about moving some Stocks and Shares ISAs with Invesco Perpetual into Skiptons Limited Edition cash ISA. I like the online and easy access, and I can move quickly back into S&S after the election if we stay Tory. It is paying 1.6% which isnt bad for easy access. Shocked to find InvPerp want 1% to transfer to…

ISA transfers to West Brom
Having commented on the forum about the issues experienced when opening a Post Office online ISA, I'm happy to advise that I've had a very positive experience transferring an ISA from NatWest to West Brom's WebSaver Limited Access account. I applied online on Friday April 10th at 12:53. At 14:06 West Brom emailed to advise…

Hubby has 2 cash ISA's £8197 @ 1.25% & £12019 @ 1%. I also have one due to mature on 01/05/15 currently £11765. My question is, do I transfer them into the best rate ISA or do I take the money out and put it into current accounts?
