Children's savings
Hi everyone. My children currently have accounts with Barclays which they save their Christmas and birthday present money in. They have about £500 each and I am considering transfering the money to mini isa's. I am trying to work out whether the difference in interest is actually big enough to make a difference. The…

What shall I do with £500
I have about £500 in a non-ISA savings account. Should I: 1.transfer to my Nationwide ISA before 1st April this year? 2. Start a NS&I ISA after April 1st - obviously I would not be able to pay into my Nationwide ISA after 1 April. I also have previous years contribution in a fixed rate Halifax ISA.

Stocks and Shares ISA - how do these work? What are the risks?
Apologies for being a MSE noobie (and posting a few questions) but I'm not 100% sure about how Stocks and Shares ISAs work - are they like investing on the stock market with the gains being tax free? Are S&S ISAs generally a good idea? What additional charges are there? Can you select the level of risk you choose? Would it…

Putting money from building society into ISA?
I have had an account with Britannia Building Society basically since I was born. At the moment there's about 2 grand in there. I was thinking is it worth putting this money into an ISA? TOISA clarification please
Hi I have a maturing TOISA with about £11K in it that will need a new home shortly. I have been doing a bit of research and it seems that TOISA's can either be invested in a cash ISA (mini) type, interest paying account or a Stock Market tracking style account, which guarantees payment of capital back in full at the end of…

Any way of having 2 ISA type savings in one year?
Hi, Im just about to finisha Barclays 10% saver account which I think is essentially a mini ISA (12 months, £3000 maximum). A&L have also increased their Direct Saver to 5.80% AER, also w.e.f. 2/2/2007. See…
