Mini Cash & Mini S & Shares ISA question

Hi, maybe this question has been answered before, though here goes anyway:

Can I buy a Mini Stocks & Shares ISA separately to my existing Mini Cash ISA, or do stocks & shares have to be bought within a Maxi ISA

If I need to buy a Maxi ISA in order to allow me to buy stocks & shares, can the cash element of the Maxi ISA come from say A&L, and the stocks & shares element from say M&G for example?

I only have Mini Cash ISAs right now, and it's a little confusing trying to work out what products have to go with one another!

Thanks

    Yes.

Each tax year, you can contribute to:

    a) 1x mini cash ISA (max £3,000/year) and/or 1x mini share ISA (max £4,000)

    OR

    b) 1 Maxi ISA (maximum: £7000/year)

  • Thanks for the clarification Sunil.
  • For example I have cash mini ISA with Kent Reliance and Mini S&S ISA with Hargreaves Lansdown and noth have been added to in this tax year, does that clear it?
